MSD Boot on the Raspberry Pi 1B not working?

Sun Jun 18, 2017 2:42 am

Hey, has anyone been able to get MSD booting on the Raspberry Pi 1B (not 1B+) using an SD card with just bootcode.bin and timeout?

I put the bootcode.bin on a SD card partition named /boot along with timeout, no other files. However turning this on, I didn't even get a rainbow box.

Truth be told, I've never been able to get the MSD booting with bootcode.bin working on my Raspberry Pi 1B - though I have been able to get the rainbow box on a previous attempt with bootcode.bin. I kind of want to make a git issue but I want to make sure the problem is reproducible.

EDIT: The bootcode.bin I am using is from the most recent master branch of rpi-firmware, the one with the kernel bump to 4.9.33.

Try the bootcode from https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware ... -296617163 as that worked on my B+.

I need to take another look at my (still unresolved) issue.
