What are your ideas for your kiosk? Do you want users to log in, have accounts? Or do you just want a full screen browser up all the time?

Here is a the beginning of a tutorial for building a Web Kiosk using Arch, should be applicable to most any distro with minor tweaks.

Another option would be installing Chrome OS on your Pi. Haven't tried it yet, but should be usable as long as your users have a Google account.

I have a kiosk user installed on my netbook using the instructions for Arch that I linked to. Its a full screen brower, defaults to DuckDuckGo and I use it if someone needs to borrow my computer. Works great.
