How to set motion as daemon (no /etc/default/motion file)

Mon Apr 03, 2017 9:12 pm

Hi,
I downloaded and installed motion, I set up it for two webcams and I can run it with sudo motion, it works.
I want to make it daemon and run it with sudo service motion start. But there is no /etc/default/motion file. I have only a configuration file in /usr/local/etc/motion/motion.conf. In this file I set "daemon" variale to "on", but still I get error "unrecognized service" If I type sudo service motion start.
How can I get motion to work as daemon?
Thanks.
