That reminds me. I have a pi running youtube. It overloads the pi after a few hours. And then If I don't catch it in time, it takes down the pi.

There's four cores on a RPi3B so 0% to 400% is possible.

Its choppy at 1920x1080 and 1280x720. But since I'm using this particular pi3 to play kiddie videos, I lowered the resolution to below those I have listed.

I guess I could rig up a script that polls the cpu and if it finds a process above x%, kill it? Better than killing the system every time and corrupting the SD card.

I typically have issues with youtube where I live and that's not on a RPI of any kind(Intel).

The biggest factor for me is to make the window a bit smaller rather then fullscreen if that is what you are using.

Lowering the frame rate can help as well.
