Massive Purchase of Pi Zero W

Hi,

We would like to use Pi Zero W for our products but before we make the decision we need to know if we are able to purchase it for like a thousand each month. I talked to Micro Center and they told me I have to contact the manufacturer which I believe is Raspberry Pi itself. Element 14 agent told me they are not allowed to sell Pi Zero W.

Thanks,
Houshin

At the moment the ZeroW is limited to one per customer due to high demand.

We recommend using the compute module for commercial products, that has a stable form factor and is available in quantity.

Raspberry Pi Trading are solely responsible for the Raspberry Pi Zero Family ;)

+1 Compute Module has long term availability:

Thanks for the information. The problem of compute module is that there is no onboard WiFi. Looks like we have to use Pi 3 first and then request a customized Pi board.

The concept behind the Compute Module is a Carrier Board is designed to suit the end product,.

This question seems to be asked at least a few times a month, and the bottom line is, you cannot buy the Pi-Zero in any kind of commercial quantity. It is not a viable base for a commercial product, unless you plan on selling it as a kit where people supply their own Pi-Zero computer. There is a long standing 1-per-order limit that people say is temporary, but the original Zero has been on the market for well over a year and that "temporary" limit is still in effect. I don't expect the new "W" version will be any different.

The only way around that limit would be to try and become a Raspberry Pi reseller. Good luck with that.
