Would someone please let me know if the WD PiDrive Foundation edition (375 Gig) requires a separate power supply and if so what I should buy. Thank you.

It depends on your Pi, the powersupply and the cable, in general the answer is that you do not need a separate power supply for the PiDrive.

The standard 5.1V 2.5A power supply, with / without the WD cable, on a Pi 3 will work without a problem. The WD power supply with the WD cable may give power low power warning but still works ok.

Yes. Buy the WD 5V 3A supply with the appropriate adapter for your local electrical standard sockets.

Okay, thanks for that. I'm new to the Pi (3B) and to the forum and appreciate your rapid response.

I'm with Dougie, buy the WD 3A power pack kit with the Pi Drive cable. Then you can run them both from the one Power Pack with no worries.
