where do i find what is new for each firmware update

Sun Sep 16, 2012 12:13 pm

Hello,
I am at 337250 for the firmware ... it appears that the firmware is updated pretty often. I would just
like to know where I can go to find out what is changed in each revision .. I use the rpi-update which is working great for me.
I also thought that when I did the apt-get upgrade the firmware would be upgraded as well? but this does not seem to be the case .. so I do the rpi-update as a separate operation..
thanks..

I believe for apt-get upgrade to update firmware, you first must refresh the repository listings using apt-get update.
To answer your main question, there is a minor summary for each revision at GitHub https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware ... aster/boot although it only describes the most recent revision, so you have to check every few days.
{sig} Setup: Original version Raspberry Pi (B, rev1, 256MB), Dell 2001FP monitor (1600x1200), 8GB Class 4 SD Card with Raspbian and XBMC, DD-WRT wireless bridge

• Don't like the board ? Missing features ? Change to the prosilver theme ! You can find it in your settings.
• Don't like to search the forum BEFORE posting 'cos it's useless ? Try googling : yoursearchtermshere site:raspberrypi.org
