FBI and selecting a background colour?

Hey all,

So I have made a custom splash screen for a project I am working on and am using fbi. It does work great but the image is a PNG file and it seems to show a grey area outside of the image itself. I would like to change this to black.

I have done some searching in here and on google and the manual doesn't seem to mention background colour options which makes me think it's not possible but surely other apps that use fbi are able to draw a black screen with the image or at least set the background somehow?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's any help here is a screenshot attached of a test logo I have been trying to use (from a VM)

Any help would be amazing with this!
It will be used on different screens so don't really want to use/create a 1920 x 1080 image of that with a black background as this will not display correctly on smaller screens hence I just want to change the background colour

Ok, a little embarrassing but this is fixed now. It was a PNG but had some transparent layers outside the logo.

I removed these and now it works fine.

Maybe this will still help someone
