RPi in automotive radar research

Universal Safety Distance Alert Device for Road Vehicles http://www.mdpi.com/2079-9292/5/2/19/htm

I happen to be one of the authors of that article ;)

Thank you very much for making that paper available, I was interested to read it! I look forward to a time when this type of sensor is more available for the hobbyist market, if that ever happens.

Gladly. The CFP was actually published on this forum (viewtopic.php?f=39&t=132205). We are currently working on getting rid of the radar DSP board and do the signal processing on the RPi 2 itself. This way the cost of the system as described can be reduced by some 400 €.
