The touch doesn't work in the app! (python)

Sat Nov 26, 2016 9:01 am

I'm working on the PiPhone project currently.

The materials that I'm using is the FONA board, Raspberry Pi B+, and Adafruit's 2.8" capacitive touchscreen. (PiTFT)

I finished the calibration of the touchscreen in portrait mode(0 degrees) by following this instruction:

https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-2-8 ... s?view=all

After the calibration, I installed the PiPhone app by entering these commands:

Code: Select all

wget https://github.com/climberhunt/Piphone/archive/master.zip
unzip master.zip
cd PiPhone-master
sudo python piphone.py
When I loaded the app with sudo python piphone.py, the display showed the background image and the keypad successfully.

However, the touch didn't work at all in that app... When I closed the app by Ctrl + C , touch started to work fine again.

Should I do some settings with Python, or other specialized settings? Can you guys help me with this, please?

hello,

I was having similar issues with this until I noticed a script I was running was raspbian 2018 (I don't know the name sadly) but I found a script on adafruits pitft pygame tutorial. try this with raspbian Jessie (since the script was meant for the 2016 raspbian Jessie)
