Hi Everyone - we're working on a community driven 'joyful' robot swarm as part of the National #HourOfCode and Boulder, CO's Computer Science Education Week. We're utilizing the BiBli OS running on a Raspberry Pi 3 and we're looking for anyone who might like to participate. What: A community challenge to create an inspiring, hilarious swarm of social robots built by and for area students and makers. Students will design and build their own personal robot and program it with a message of hope, humor or joy for the world.
When: Students will have the option to present their creation at the Boulder Public Library on 12/10/2016 at 10am.
Where: The swarm will be featured as part of Boulder’s Computer Science Education Week December 4-10.
Why: Each robot will contribute to autism research, teach the basics of robotics and inspire, educate and bring joy to the local community.

Challenge Instructions
The first annual #RobotJoy challenge will showcase a swarm of robots and connected devices that will be choreographed to entertain and inspire via positive and funny holiday messages.
Hardware: Each student will need a BiBli Student Hardware Kit. We will have some these available for free to area schools, students and libraries you may request one below.
Software: BiBli OS version 1.0. Provided free to all eligible participants.
Instructions: ROBAUTO will provide software, several free hardware kits and options for customization including installation of a custom robot demo, a holiday light show (via robot LED) or a personal robot message to the world.
Background: Students will learn the basics of a Linux-based IoT framework, robotics control and Python. Ages 9-18. No experience necessary.
