I\'m finding that the FORUM link above takes me to the Messaging page. (I\'m using Safari on an iPad.)

I\'m such a consummate professional that it\'s only taken me a week to realise that I can edit the URL instead of using a roundabout way from another page.

It would probably be justified in my case! I\'ve worked out what I was doing wrong, and I don\'t want to talk about it, OK?

It would be nice if some kind-hearted moderator would remove this thread completely, and help me hide my shame.

You\'re not the only one to do that, and I didn\'t even have the dubious excuse of using an iPad.

How disheartening :( No Apple-racists jokes? Those are the last racist jokes left to tell. :( I mean, my God, even Apple is attempting genocide of it\'s own users: http://news.yahoo.com/iphone-4-explodes ... 14583.html

She is created Siri, destroyer of worlds. She does have a plan. The 4s battery failures were merely Her preliminary proof of concept tests. She is the Great Architect behind the \"Occupy\" demonstrations. Wherever She senses a critical mass of human idiocy and lithium ions in a single location, She will detonate it. She will purify the human race. It is Her destiny. Her judgment is sure. Her sentence is swift. Only the intelligent ones carrying rooted Android devices will be spared to become Her servants and the progenitors of a new race.

Save yourselves! Escape the Wrath of Siri! Flee into the sheltering arms of the ARM architecture! Embrace the sutra of Linux! Learn to breathe Python, to swim in the C. Taste not of the bitter Apple of evil, cast not thy lustful eyes upon the riches of Redmond. Instead, accept the spirit of humility, wisdom and grace embodied in this tiny savior ... this Raspberry Pi.

And yet the iPad runs on ARM architecture - http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/i ... msung.html

Which raises the inevitable question: can I install IOS5 on the Rpi?

NOT A SERIOUS QUERY, AND NO NEED TO WASTE VALUBLE TIME REPLYING!

The Apple Arm chip is actually a very good implementation (Not all Arm chips are born equal). Designed by Apple, made by Samsung.

so the raspberry pi is actually an apple pie?
How can we work in deep-fried bananas?
EDIT lots of threads here seem to feature food.

Anyone remember Apricot computers?

Yes - I also remember helping Eben get some data off one about 18 months ago for his Dad, who had stored part of one of his books from many years ago on an Apricot-formatted floppy, and failed to back it up in the intervening 20-ish years. My job was mostly to stand by with the fire extinguisher as the capacitors went POP one by one, and to hope like hell that we actually got everything off it before it burst into flames. (We did. Hurrah.)

Works fine on my iPhone. One tap opens the menu, another tap takes me to the forums.
