Viewing Sharepoint on Pi 3

Sun Jul 17, 2016 2:29 pm

Hey gang,

What would be the best way to be able to view sharepoint sites on our AD Domain with the Raspberry Pi 3?
I had planned to install Windows 10 IOT on it, but so far it does not seen to install on the 3. I have tried several times and it always hangs upon first boot.

My company currently uses Thin Clients, connected to a Terminal Server, to display pages from our intranet Sharepoint site on several Televisions, thru out the plant. But as a fun little project, I wanted to try to replace them with Pi3's so I can retire the TS all together.

Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Randy

Regards Windows 10 IoT Core you will need the Insider Preview for the RPi 3B

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/w ... /Downloads

Though it is far removed from Windows 10 Desktop Editions

Can you use REST ??

Have you considered Citrix? This would allow the Pi to just work as a Thin Client to your more powerful servers.

I know Citrix works a treat on both RPI2 and RPi3 in both Raspbian and Ubuntu MATE.

Kind regards

Mark.

Sharepoint sites are simply web pages. Just load a standard Raspbian Jessie and open up the web browser. Or look for some of the kiosk packages floating around. No need for anything complicated.
