Where to Install Codec Driver Files

Sun Jul 03, 2016 4:24 am

Hi, I am trying to install the linux drivers for the ADAU1781 audio codec on my Raspberry Pi. They are in the form of .c and .h files, rather than an installer, so I wanted to ask where in the Raspberry Pi filesystem I would need to put them in order for them to work.

Here is Analog Devices' page on the drivers:
https://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools ... d/adau1381
Here is the git with the .c and .h files: http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel ... .c?id=HEAD

C & H files imply source code that needs to be compiled. But have no idea how they need to be installed - any instructions for installing on Debian should be relevant on Raspbian.

Probably the best place to make further enquiries would be on Analog Devices own support forums.
