Is that a current version of Jessie, or an older one? (Don't assume that a card bought with Jessie is current.) IIRC you need the version released in late May 2016.

I have Downloaded Jessie from Pi website at its latest version and also tried rpi update.

The first time i installed jessie - The wifi was working, but after a restart this problem started and the icon on the upper right hand corner says, NO WIRELESS INTERFACES FOUND.

I have purchased a 2.1 amp output charger from amazon branded as STUDIO-Y.

Please find the link below

show your interfaces and wpa_suppolicant files

It won't work if your network uses WEP security. Change your network to use WPA or WPA2 (which is more secure anyway). Or add some strange extra parameters to your supplicant file.
