error message OpenVPN server

Tue Jun 07, 2016 7:32 pm

Socket bind failed on local address [AF_INET]192.168.0.15:1194: Cannot assign requested address

I have set-up a OpenVPN server on my static internet IP - the rasp is connected to the router, static 192.168.0.15

I am trying to connect from another Rasp as client, with a dongle.

I have generated 3des keys and also scripted the ovpn file with MakeOpenVPN.sh#Script written by Eric Jodoin

For some reason I get this error message, can anyone tell me what's wrong...

The 1194 port is forwarded on router.

Thanks!

It means that your Port forwarding scheme is messed up. You may need to find another port. If this is on the network, without anyone accessing from the outside, you may have to disable any firewalls on the machines. Portforward.com is the go to site for this kind of stuff. This states why you are getting the error. https://forums.openvpn.net/viewtopic.php?t=20011 https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/OpenVP ... leshooting
Ren: Now listen, Cadet. I've got a job for you. See this button? Ren: Don't touch it! It's the History Eraser button, you fool! Stimpy: So what'll happen? Ren: That's just it. We don't know. Maybe something bad, maybe something good.
