Glad to hear it. From your original description, it looked like your PSU should be able to keep the voltage up (you aren't going to drawing anywhere near its rated capacity), so the low voltage indicator was likely to be the cable.
Poor PSUs and cables have been an issue for Pis going back to the beginning. Fortunately, you can now get decent PSUs and cables a lot more readily than you could 4 years ago, mostly due, I think, to the roaring success of the Pi.
