looks like only a 'pp-9' has been added?
My zero has a pp9 exept its near those pads labeled j5 at the end of the board.

Looks real enough to me, and matches what I see in firmware.

I wonder if the new ones will also have "Copyright 2016" instead of 2015.

Pi hut must be loving all this free advertising.

I hope in the interests of fairness, the same coverage is given to other suppliers.

Oh wait....

How did you get that? The firmware dt-blob.dts on github has not yet been updated.
Did you decompile the firmware .ELF file ?

Odd that only a picture of one side of the board. Would want need to see the other side really to see if it different to Zero1.

Also way overpriced. WIth 250K devices made (I think, I really must confirm that) there should be plenty to go around at the correct price.

Punch brothers! Punch with care!

Look at the left side of the Board. I think I figured out what's new.
Leaves an important Question: Where to get it.

My guess is li-po charger/power management chip plus battery connector. And if my guess is wrong and it is audio out than I would be happy too :-)

You're all missing the big picture - it will make users happy (an oft requested feature), but will not cost more - clearly what they've done is silkscreened a big smiley face onto the board.

You're welcome.

P.S. Still surprised some folks are guessing the new feature is 512MB of RAM, that would mean every Pi Zero thus far is the new one. Do you kids even count each megabyte when you get a new computer, to make sure they're all there?

P.P.S. blaablaaguy, every time I see your signature, I want to rewrite it to:
print("Pi's are" if raspberry_pi_is_awesome else "They're still", "awesome!")

(Also, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in d minor, is a bit overplayed. Try Bach's Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor (BWV 582); Michael Murray's rendition on "Bach: The Great Organ at Methuen" is transcendent.)

(And what's with all the requests for unicorns - my Pi Zero came with a free invisible pink unicorn - was yours missing?)

Wow you can see thin black rectangles?

Did 'they' send you a different photo?

I find it mysterious that the craigslist photo only shows one side (a strategic leek from the welsh, as opposed to a daft a dial?)

I really cannot be bothered spending a lot of time looking at the photo too closely, but the strange black holes under the mini hdmi socket location make me almost wonder if there is something else or the option for something else under there?

Definitely would be possible to put a small ffc connector the size of the compute module ffc connector between the hdmi and usb, I think the photo is probably a fake as otherwise the internet would have a few people showing what they bought at the flea market by now(6pm dayton time?). Now ask yourself who lives in dayton?

If it's invisible how do you know that it's pink?
The most important leg of a three legged stool is the one that's missing.

That´s seems reasonable, except for the fact that such smiley face wouldn´t need a new firmware. Unless they´re replacing the Raspberry logo on the boot screen with that same smiley.

As a newbie to the forum I haven't got a reputation to lose and
refer you to my earlier post on this topic and add:

What have the Pi foundation been really good at?: repurposing silicon that was used in something else.

So have they put the Pi2 CPU/GPU Soc into the Pi Zero version 2 and possibly added software in last weeks version of Jessie to select the number of cores to be used depending on the thermal performance of the IC and the power consumption required of the application?.

That would require no form factor change and no new Soc.

Perhaps the built in test hardware in the ARM CPU can be interrogated by the new version of Jessie so when an original version Pi Zero is detected the number of cores reported via the OS is one and clock range also set appropriately.

It has already been stated that there is no change to the SoC.
