Ok, I need some help hooking a LCD up to the raspberry pi I have an image below of what it is. What pins would I put these on the GPIO on the raspberry pi 2?

It's an Arduino (5V) compatible display. You'll need extra circuits to work with the Pi at 3V3, and possibly drivers that may or may not be available. Better to start with something designed for the Pi.

FWIW, if you want/need a display (interface) that uses serial comns. then this backpack will do so and (in serial mode) does not need level-shifters between the Pi's 3.3V gpios and the the interface's (display's) 5V inputs etc.:

Trev.
Still running Raspbian Jessie on some older Pi's (an A, B1, B2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W) but Stretch on my 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, A+ and a B2. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm

Is there a way to make it so i do't use the controller, just the LCD, nothing else?

Or as I did here:

NB: level-shifters were in use.
