I heard that the Class 10 SD cars a very unstable and easily wear out. Also I would not buy from somewhere called woot, maybe l33t but not woot.

Woot is an extremely popular and reputable website here in the states. They are owned by Amazon.

R-Pi seems not to be able to use a SD card above 8Gb.

[Edited]: good topics to read before buy a SD card:
- Should I be able to boot off a 16GB SDHC?
- Known to work SD cards. Please add yours !

It has nothing to do with the size. It is the the cards over class 6 that are known not to work with the PI. It has also been stated that a fix may be in the works.

Or just use it for storage, SDHC readers are a whole $1.50 on amazon. I bought a 16gb flash drive to use as a file system, it should work fine.

I know a single data point doesn\'t make a valid statistical analysis, but I just had a Centon 32GB SDHC die. Well start throwing bit errors. (I don\'t remember how long I used it, as /home on an EeePC running Ubuntu 10.10, maybe almost a year. I didn\'t try for warranty replacement, I just tossed it and bought a SanDisk 32GB for $40 from CostCo. Woot, CostCo, and SanDisk are solid. Centon, I\'m not so sure about.)

Edit: bad name memory, it was 32GB Kingston SDHC I picked up. (Not SanDisk. SanDisk were smaller and on a previous CostCo trip.)
