Is my shipment being correctly proceeded?

Sat Aug 11, 2012 1:25 pm

Hi everyone.

So I registred my interest on the RaspPi at Farnell's website in May, placed my order and then got a PDF file with the value of the package that would be debited from my credit card. They also emailed me saying that my order would be dispatched the week commencing the 9th of July.

This week I received an email with another PDF file confirming the paid of the order. But my RaspPi has not yet arrived.

Should I be worried? Or does this mean that everything is fine and that I should be getting de RaspPi pretty soon?

Best Regards.

Where in the world are you?

Your global location is relevant to this question. ;)

Cool.

I can only answer for the UK but someone may yet be able to give you an accurate answer for Portugal. ;)

Ok, thanks!

Also, can you tell me if your ordering procedure was similar to the one I described? I'm kinda getting a bit confused over here...

Yes mine was similar but I ordered in the first two hours so my profile will probably differ but I recieved my RPi about 10 days after confirmation. And I was RS order.

Nice. Adding up the average 6 weeks of the deliver and shipments delays, I should be receiving my RaspPi during the next week.

Thanks for the answers!

Who do Farnell use to ship to PT?

My two Pi's were via RS (no great delays) and the first arrived via GLS in about 3 days from despatch notification. The second took a day longer as the GLS driver could no longer find my road so I arranged delivery to a nearby bar. (Of course it could have been a different driver - MRW seem to change theirs hourly...!)

Western Algave, BTW.

Farnell use Royal Mail International post - no tracking. Package is a simple jiffy bag - I forewarned our postman NOT just to throw the packet over the garden gate!

the cheapest envelop they can found and was also opened and no Raspberry inside!
