Suggested new name

Fri Aug 10, 2012 2:17 am

If another whizbang RasPi product comes to mind, I have a suggested name for it, in keeping with the xBerry idea.

Last month we were in Alaska, and hiked through a fairly wild area, where we saw a delightful little alpine berry called "Cloudberry", Rubus Chamaemorus. It is amber-colored, and looks a lot like the Raspberry Pi logo. Apparently it is found between latitude 55N and 78N.

Oo - and it makes a very nice jam. They're lovely; they don't keep long once picked, so you don't see them fresh often. I hope you tried some on your hike!

(Cloudberries aside, I think we'll be sticking to the Raspberry Pi name forever now, though!)

It does make me wonder what the camera and display will be nicknamed as

"Cloudberry" sounds like a typical name I'd come across in my travels in The Elder Scrolls games
