Congratulations to the Pi Foundation and all its helpers for this thrilling birthday present. They always manage to amaze us. :-)

Well, so far Raspbian will run in 32-Bit mode, so no more RAM eating compared to a 32-Bit Pi2.
Also, it is possible to run light-weight desktop environments like LXDE in 64-Bit mode with only 1 GB of RAM on AMD/Intel PCs, so I think it will do on ARM devices, too... (Some say even GTK based Xubuntu in 64-Bit runs well with 1 GB only, but I don't know.)
