no youtube video with chromium on U Mate, fix?

Sat Jan 23, 2016 3:43 pm

I have the latest RPi2 attached to my HDMI TV running Ubuntu Mate for RPi. When I try to watch youtube I get the video that is all but unwatchable although sound is heard.

I am running chromium, since I can't get chrome installed. Firefox plays videos fine, but I prefer to use chromium. It is likely a flash player issue but can't find the solution for this.

Will try to attach a picture, thanks.

youtube-dl & omxplayer is the best option for Videos, unless one wants to install KODI Multimedia Software:

Chromium or Firefox Web Browser do not have hardware acceleration.......

The defacto Raspbian Jessie Operating System has kweb browser developed by gkreidl which may or may not work with the Ubuntu-Mate Community Distribution:

I have posted mostly with a Pi 2 running either Ubuntu MATE, or Raspbian.
