Element14 warranty through Ebay seller

Hello
I bought a RPi 2 B on Ebay India in Aug. 2015, through a seller who gave a 1 year "manufacturer warranty" of Element14.
This is the link which, as of today, is active http://www.ebay.in/itm/RASPBERRY-PI-2-M ... OC:IN:3160
It worked fine till Dec. 2015, when I tried switching to another monitor (which was connected to set top box of cable TV). This setup didn't work out well, so went back to earlier working monitor, and found that HDMI input was not displaying anything and the monitor went into sleep mode. The RPi was running OK with red and green LEDs glowing. But no display at all.
Now I contacted the ebay seller, and got reply from Elementz Engineers Guild (http://elementzonline.com) asking me to do changes to config.txt. I had tried almost all combinations for HDMI display of config.txt, but they persisted with that always asking to change this or that setting.
This was in Dec. 2015, during which, by Ebay rules, I could have raised an issue on Ebay and go by Ebay buyer/seller guidelines.
These Elementz people kept me hanging on the configuration till Jan. 2016 and then, voila, nothing. No reply to Ebay messages, emails, nothing.
In Jan. 2016, this Ebay order went into "Archive" and so I am unable to raise an issue, or "Resolve a problem" as displayed on Ebay orders.
The element14 Toll-free number is continuously engaged, and after filling their online Returns form, they sent me a mail saying "We cannot support individual , you can order from kits n spare website here is the link http://www.kitsnspares.com"
Great, so I had bought the RPi from Ebay from buyer claiming "1 year element14 manufacturer warranty", and now there's zero communication from element14, Ebay seller, and, because of the Ebay order archival, I can't raise this issue through Ebay problem resolution.
So much for the "Element14 manufacturer warranty".
I'm convinced that most online portals are very tricky when it comes to RMA during warranty time.
