Using the Raspberry Pi HW RNG with OpenVPN

Fri Jan 22, 2016 12:42 am

Hi I know I haven't posted in a long time. I have been very busy. I am currently setting up a Raspberry Pi Open VPN but I would like to use the Raspberry Pi's built in HW RNG. I have already installed rng-tools and gotten the Raspberry Pi's hw rng working. I am currently thinking of following this tutorial http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-33548728
A computer's power can't be just measured Gigahertz. It is the same thing with us humans.

The next kernel will have the HWRNG enabled whether you want it or not, there'll be a config option to disable it.

Until that happens you can add the module to /etc/modules to get it loaded at boot time.
