Here is how I get bluetooth mini keyboard to work on my Raspberry Pi.

Plug in your USB dongle, then...

1) Install the bluetooth packages at the command line.
a) sudo apt-get install bluetooth
b) sudo apt-get install bluez
c) sudo apt-get install blueman

2) Reboot your Raspberry Pi

3) Login to your Graphical User Interface and then do the following.
a) Click on "Menu"
b) Click on "Preferences"
c) Click on "Bluetooth Manager"
d) Click on "Search"
e) Now on your bluetooth mini keyboard power it on and then press your bluetooth button "BT". This will enable your system to recognize your keyboard.
f) You'll then see your keyboard show up as a device in your Bluetooth Manager.
g) RIGHT CLICK your newly discovered device and LEFT CLICK "Pair".
h) Next to your discovered device three icons will show up (a grey one, green one and blue one).
i) Press ENTER on your mini keyboard
j) The system will display those three icons a second time, hit ENTER again on your mini keyboard.
k) The system will display those three icons a third time, so once again hit ENTER on your mini keyboard.
l) Now the Raspberry Pi will pop up with a box, type with your Raspberry keyboard "0000" , then press ENTER.
m) Immediately after typing the above type "0000" on your mini keyboard, then press ENTER
n) Now you should see on the left side of the Bluetooth Manager that a little key showed up next to your device.
o) Now RIGHT CLICK, your device in Bluetooth Manager, and the LEFT CLICK "Connect".

That should do it. Your bluetooth mini keyboard should be working.

At times I have to click on "Pair" a few times, to get the system to initialize pairing so it gives me the THREE "Enter" rounds, and then the chance to enter in "0000" on your raspberry keyboard, and in turn allow you to enter in "0000" on your mini keyboard to pair it with your system.

I've noticed on reboots, I have to tell the Bluetooth Manager to "Connect" but at least you won't have to do the pairing again.

I'm sure there are other ways to do it but this way works for me.

Hi, Can you help me, please, someone?
I have an IPazzport, the one that syas at the back "RECIEVER INSIDE"
When i press fn+f1 the 3rd led just keeps flashing. COnstantly.
I don't know if its a battery problem.
I have some questions:
Charging time (approx) and led colour for full charge.
When I charge it, the middle light is red (is it charging?) after sometime it goes off.
Its supposed to happen or not?
And I am running Raspbian, and my IPazzPort is the QWERTY keyboard combo touchpad.
Thanks if you can help.
:P :P :P ;) ;)

These little combo keyboards are great, it took me a few tries at the posts above to get it working but it eventually paired and I have it going on a piB+and a pi3, mine came from china with very poor instructions, the sign saying "receiver inside" at the rear on mine told me that inside the rear of the keyboard was a receiver I needed to take out of the keyboard and put into my pi, its like a little draw the width of a usb stick.

These receivers are prone to damage and mine stopped working soon after installation due to many removals and re-inserts, I took the usb shell off of it and inserted a thin piece of vinyl into the back of it so it make better contact when inserted into a usb bus(hub or pi), works every time now, and as I have a metal flirc case on my pi3 so the bluetooth(and wifi) does not connect very well so I still use the cheap dongle that came with the mini keyboard.

When charging the light goes out when fully charged.

My keyboard sounds similar to yours, qwerty with a little scroll pad on the right side, probably all copies of some original,,

Thank you pifossil!
This really helped. And, yes, my keyboard also i think from china....
Anyway, I also found out that when you plug in the dongle, use the charging wire and plug it into the pi too, so it'll use two ports, but then turn the keyboard on, and it shld type. Once it types i think u can take out the wire as it is fully connected.
Thanks anyway! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D     :) :) ;) ;) ;) ;)
