A huge thanks to Pete Lomas, who has done an absolutely amazing job on getting the PCB finished.

With this and all the stamp licking, I\'m feeling quite light-headed.

It looks really cool. I was just wondering if anyone could help me point out the obvious features on the PCB? I can tell we are looking at it from underneath since some of the writing is inverted. I’ll have a stab at guessing what each thing is;

1) HDMI
2) SD Card Reader
3) USB sockets
4) Ethernet or Maybe composite video out?
5) Not sure what is going here, perhaps the micro USB power input?

I\'ll get Eben to annotate a pic when he\'s back this evening - I can only identify about half of what\'s on there myself!

Davespice, I think 3) is the micro USB (power) plug and just under 4) it\'s the USB plugs.
Great work on the PCB, btw.

My best guess is ...

It\'s going to be challenging trying to work out how best to position it in a larger box, what to put up against a front or back panel, but that\'s all part of the fun.

I would call \"TV\" as \"RCA\", since HDMI is for TV too.

Hippy - that looks about right. I\'m not sure (and can\'t find out, in Pete\'s absence) whether any of those GPIOs are UART, or where SCI comes out - I\'ll let you all know when he\'s back.

Something has just crossed my mind.
How are we supposed to hold this PCB to something? Like a box, a platform, whatever.
It has no fixing holes, to put some screws.
Seems like it will have to be hanging by the cables.

We should be adding two through holes before we ship. If we don\'t, you can buy sticky pads which will do the job.

Hi,
board looks great!
Could you give some info about the pinout of the 2*13 connector ? I suppose it is fixed at this stage.

It is, but frustratingly, I won\'t know what\'s exposed until Pete gets back from his break. I\'ll let you know next week!

So, what\'s next? I guess you need to build a small beta series (which will cost an arm and a leg) to certify electric and electromagnetic compliance with international regulations. Or so I assume?

No - we already comply, and can move straight to production once the bug testing\'s done.

An official \"Wo-hoo!\" for GPIO on a 0.1\" header. Much rejoicing was had amongst the solder slingers. :D

Given the size of the board, then in a pinch you could even use that header as a mounting point if mounting holes turns out not to be feasible in the final design.

Looking forward to hearing what is on that header. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Here\'s my guess - I\'m guessing the space with 6 blobs is Ethernet, and 8 is for 2 USB, on each side of the audio connector.

The density of this board (component and signal) is truly admirable. I\'ve always been a sucker for power densities on PCBs (having worked at a large board stuffing facility and having dealt with the strengths and shortcomings of power product design in the past). I suppose I\'m a bit of an oddball in my admiration of heat disipation and power provisioning, though. Despite the omission of my personally favorite layers, I have made this my desktop background, which does it no justice. My screens are about 30 times the size of the actual board.

I think I\'ll pick my jaw up off the floor and go grab some lunch.

A shout of thanks for this little nugget, Raspberry Pi team! Your remarkable openness has made the act of waiting for this product to come to market one of the more exciting things I\'ve enjoyed these past few months. We\'ve been treated to so much Raspberry goodness, I find myself absolutely peaking in anticipation.
