Remote audio? Audio over IP?

So with the Zero, you can have audio over HDMI or you can move the GPIOs and build your own audio filter.
Or you can plug in a USB dongle.

What about a sound card over IP? Or emulate one and then put it over IP? So that whatever sound that would have gone out over HDMI would go to a remote machine?

Say I only have a WIFI dongle attached in a remote location?
