WebIOPi installation

Fri Jan 01, 2016 1:21 pm

I can´t install WebIOPi to my raspberry.
Operation system is raspbian jessie.
When i type basic installation command it displays this :

[email protected]:~ $ sudo tar xvzf WebIOPi-0.7.1.tar.gz # (command)
tar (child): WebIOPi-0.7.1.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar (child): Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

So how to install webiopi?

If you have a PI2B , you need to modified it!

change BCM2708_PERI_BASE to 0x3F000000

line 32 in
in WebIOPi-0.7.1/python/native/gpio.c

Ok The B+ doesn't need to modify the code

Download it first

Code: Select all

cd ~
wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/webiopi/files/WebIOPi-0.7.1.tar.gz

and then

Code: Select all

tar xvzf WebIOPi-0.7.1.tar.gz
cd WebIOPi-0.7.1
sudo ./setup.sh

Also on Jessie you will need to enable the service

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl enable webiopi.service
sudo systemctl start webiopi.service

Hello.

1st thank u for the infos here :)

i can see the header now on my browser but when i click some gpio's it just does nothing, also not on the webpage. Do i need to allow GPIO control for webiopi with some tricks?

//edit: nevermind, it worked after reboot o.O
