Raspberry pi 2 keeps crashing

Plugged into a 2 amp usb charger. Has a 16 gb sandisk ultra. Wired with Ethernet. Keeps crashing varying from 1 minute to 5 minutes. Crashed 5-6 times. I need to unplug and plus back power for it to come back on. Any ideas what i can do before punching it? Its got a case and i installed the two heatsinks that came with it. Got it yesterday so I'm fairly new to this.

You can try a better power supply. What do you mean when you say that it crashes? That you booted Raspbian and that the GUI becomes unresponsive, is that it?

Try a decent quality USB power lead - that's can make even a 2A power supply useless.
