Raspbian Testing (Debian 9) is it usable ?

Fri Nov 13, 2015 12:52 pm

Yes we have had the 6 month wait for Jessie and AOK so far

Unfortunately Libre Office is 4.3 which in Lubuntu is 5.x

Also a few posters have requested newer version of various software.

Bottom line can we upgrade Raspbian Jessie to Testing, obvious with the caveat it could wreck the Raspbian install :?:

The answer is no go, dependency hell though it was a good excercise in frutality...

Probabably if started with the Net Install Raspbian, it would of created less pitfalls...
