apt-get update

is there a problem with the repository or mirrordirector? i keep getting an error when i try to update jessie on the rpi for the last day or so.

I'm getting the same problem, how do I set up mirrors?

Try

sudo apt-get update -o Acquire::ForceIPv4=true
to force the use of IPv4 addresses. I suspect you can not route IPv6. If this update is successful, than you can create a file "/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99force-ipv4" with the content:
