I think that it it a pertinent to ask that.
I can't wait to start a project on this board, but i need to now the consumption?!
Any one have already tested that?
thanks in advance.
PS:How can I order one of this

?

searching is your friend on this site. please use! There's a lengthy discussion in the power supply thread in general topics.

The old discussions can't be used anymore since the redesign to use UCS, but the numbers are not way off.
A 1000 mA charger will do in any case except for powering external HDDs.

Worst case: 1000mA * 5 Volt = 5 Watts. That's a model B Raspberry Pi with an attached (USB powered) external hard drive (and maybe a keyboard etc).
Best case: 300mA * 5V = 1.5 Watt. That's a model A version with externally powered USB devices attached.
Hopefully that gives you an idea of the power consumption.

They've also estimated that the model B at full tilt would be around 700 mA so that would be 3.5 Watts, so between 1.5 and 4 Watts would be a safe bet for a power consumption range unless you have a hard drive hooked up to the thing
