HDMi Input into Raspberry Pi

Tue Sep 01, 2015 11:41 am

I've been doing a bit of research on this and most of the posts are quite old.

There seemed to be a solution on Kickstarter last year but it kind of fizzled out.

I was wondering if anybody knows of a HDMI input interface for the raspberry pi,

No. Never heard of such a thing.

I'm guessing it's not even possible. We only have USB and Ethernet interfaces on the Pi that can get data in at speed. And as far as I can tell neither of them have the bandwidth to accommodate an HDMI signal.

Yep. The HDMI is output only.

PeterO,

OK yeah, that has the bandwidth. Anyone ever made a HDMI input device that can be read by the camera interface?

I'm not holding my breath.
