I've been doing a bit of research on this and most of the posts are quite old.
There seemed to be a solution on Kickstarter last year but it kind of fizzled out.

I'm guessing it's not even possible. We only have USB and Ethernet interfaces on the Pi that can get data in at speed. And as far as I can tell neither of them have the bandwidth to accommodate an HDMI signal.
