Forward composite out to GPIO?

Sat Jul 18, 2015 10:35 pm

I don't actually have my Pi yet, should be here in a week or so, but I would like to know if it would be possible to just forward the composite output to one of the GPIO pins?

I'm working on a project that requires the least space possible and won't fit the 3.5mm jack plug, so I'm thinking it would just be easier to connect a jumper to one of the GPIO pins so I won't have to desolder parts from my Pi. :?

Not possible. There's some additional components between the GPIO pin that drives it and the TRRS socket.

If space is an issue look at de-soldering the TRRS socket and wiring your analog amplifier directly to the board.
