This project would make an excellent addition to NOOBs.
Put my vote in to have it added to the NOOBs selection of OS's.

Raspberry Pi Thin Client project:
http://rpitc.blogspot.com/
- Citrix Receiver v13.1.3.305346
- VMWare Horizon Client 3.2.0
- Thinlinc Client 4.3.0
- 2X Client 12.0
- RDesktop 1.8.3
- xFreeRDP 1.1.0~git20140921.1.440916e+dfsg1-4
- Accelerated dFreeRDP 1.0
- NoMachine NX Client 4.4.12
- X2GO client 4.0.3.1
- SPICE GTK+ 0.28 Client & virt-viewer 2.0
- Iceweasel 31.6.0esr with ICA & Spicy plugins enabled
- TN5250 client 0.17.4
- x3270 client 3.3.10
- Xephyr X nested server
- CUPS Print Client 1.7.5 && HPlip 3.14.6
- VPN support: OpenVPN 2.3.4, Openconnect 6.0 and VPNc 0.5.3
I have tested out both versions for Pi and Pi2 and they both work acceptably well.

I created the files to add RPiTS to the NOOBs files system under OS.
So far all tests work as expected and I have not found a faults.
Where do I send this zip file to?
It is 344.2MB in size...

That is just the NOOBs base system. Not any of the installable OSs really.
I found how the rest of the OSs populates the online installer, and it's a sure bet that I need to contact someone from the Raspberry dot org web site...

Though I have also found that I have just a bit more work to do to fit that scheme. Not to trivial but more work and testing before I go pestering anyone.

Maybe tomorrow. :ugeek:

I've managed to get this VMWare Horizon Client working on my Raspberry Pi 2, under Raspbian.

History... I recently upgraded from Raspberry Pi 2 to Raspberry Pi 3, and, was not sure what to do with the Raspberry Pi 2.

I found the Raspberry Pi Thin Client Project ( http://rpitc.blogspot.com ), tried to push its image to a Micro SD card, which, wouldn't boot.

To the credit of the Raspberry Pi Thin Client Project's maintainers, its very likely that not being able to boot was entirely my fault!

Anyway... since I was already familiar with Raspbian on the Raspberry Pi 2, opted to see if I could get VMWare Horizon working on Raspbian.

How I did it...

1) Start with stock Raspbian Jessie with Pixel, https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbian_latest Push to your SD card using the instructions provided by the Raspberry Pi foundation.

2) After you've booted into Raspbian and have any and all of your preferred raspi-config details sorted (i.e. - change hostname, password, overclocking, enable SSH and / or VNC, time zone, keyboard map, etc), do the following from a terminal...

wget http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... _armhf.deb
sudo dpkg -i libssl1.0.2_1.0.2k-1_armhf.deb
sudo apt-get install libtar0 libssl-dev libtar-dev debconf pcscd libusb-dev libpcsclite1 libpcsclite-dev dh-autoreconf libudev0 libudev1 libstdc++-4.9-dev
wget http://dl.armtc.net/RPi-TC/packages/vmwh_LATEST.tar.gz
tar xvfz vmwh_LATEST.tar.gz
cp vmwh_LATEST.enc /tmp/.
chmod 777 /tmp/vmwh_LATEST.enc
sudo ./install
cd /usr/lib/vmware/view/vdpService
sudo rm libmksvchanclient.so

Once the above is finished, you'll see VMWare Horizon Client in the LXPanel menu on Raspbian. Launch as normal, add your connect server, login as usual.

For reference, the Raspbian image which I used is dated 2017-03-02.

For reference, the version of vmwh_LATEST.tar.gz which I used is dated 2017-03-13. Yes, its source is the Raspberry Pi Thin Client Project.

Hope that this helps!

Sounds like a good idea.

And if something say were to go wrong with your SD card, you can just get a new one and you'll still have access to your files.
