Hi everyone!
Not sure where to post this so I'll stick it in here and see what happens.
I'm using my Pi headless. I connect with Putty via SSH on the ethernet port. My problem is this: At home I need it to have a fixed IP address as I don't want to load a DHCP server on my PC. Then at work it needs to pick up a DHCP address off the network. Is there a way to give it a fixed IP but then allow DHCP to override the fixed IP when available? I realise that this is completely the opposite of how things normally work, but such a feature would be really usefull in my situation.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Networking advice needed.
Thanx a meg! That solves it in a different way but it should work perfectly for my situation. I completely forgot that you could bind multiple IP's to an interface.AndrewS wrote:http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 77#p112577
