Can't Access Live Camera Stream Externally

Wed May 06, 2015 11:47 pm

Hey guys! Spent all afternoon but finally got my Raspberry Pi camera module to stream. I used the UV4L driver and directions I found here:
http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/s ... e&artid=14

Works perfectly and looks great at 30fps.

I can stream it perfectly on my local network using port 8080. To view this live stream externally I went into my Securifi router and forwarded both ports 8080 and 80 to the internal IP address of my pi. But it was not able to connect.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong here? Thanks so much

(side question, If I wanted to use an android IP cam viewer app to view my live stream, what brand/type of camera should I say it is. Meaning is my live stream similar to the way another IP camera works?)

Thanks!

edit: I'm stupid, I just didn't use the full url:
http://{raspberryIP}/stream/webrtc
