It seems that every device containing an ARM is now a "Raspberry Pi competitor".

These are just lazy web journalists using the buzz around R.Pi to get more page hits. I don't think I have seen anything that really is in the same category as R.Pi.

This is all very interesting, but you can't actually buy these devices anywhere on the high street. I looked in Maplin and PC World and they had none.

How is it remotely a competitor to the pi? 720p video, twice the price of a model A, no gpio, no community, no educational release.

Are you talking about R.Pi or something else?

Well, he could be talking of either, but to be honest, they would be a terrible 'high street' product at the moment.

Hmm, my "High Street" has 3 chinese takeaways, 2 fish'n'chip shops, 2 nail bars/salons, a fish therapist (?), a florist, 2 charity shops, newsagent and a post office, and thats about it.

I never shop there, but I have plenty of time to study it while waiting at the level crossing, the busiest crossing in the UK or something. :(
