Will Pi B/B+ components work on a Pi 2?

Hi There,
Ordered my first Pi yesterday and it's the Pi 2 model

!
However I want to add a 3.5" touchscreen to it so that (together with a 10000mah backup phonecharger battery) I can take it with me. I've found some nice screens that come with a Pi case but....can I just stick the screen that has been created for the B/B+ on my Pi 2 and it wil work?
Or do I have to wait untill there is a screen for the Pi 2 because of the Pi 2 "engine" is different then that of the B/B+?
Kind regards,
Mike

Some of these screens are dependant on specially written kernels/images to work. Because of the differing GPIO addresses such a specially written kernel probably won't work with a Pi2. The usual USB stuff will almost certainly work with a Pi2

Hi Pluggy,
Thanks for your fast reply.
I know a USB devive will work in about 95% of the cases but I don't want to use a USB device because that needs external power. I want to use a 3,5"screen that uses the GPIO headers. This is the item I would like to buy (if it's working on the Pi 2):
http://www.banggood.com/3_5-Inch-TFT-LC ... 60194.html
PS: I hope posting a link like this one is okay here....I know some forums don't allow links to webshops.
So if it's not allowed...I'm sorry in advance!

I would try to find a screen that is supported by notro's fbtft drivers (
https://github.com/notro/fbtft/wiki)
The driver works on Pi2 (although there may still be some problems with touch).

You must contact the seller to see if it works with the RPi 2. The seller must also provide a download link or CD/DVD with a full working OS image OR drivers AND very specific instructions on how to install drivers. It not then do NOT buy the screen..... It will not work and you will find little help here.
Edit:
Most anything intended for the B+ will also work on the RPi 2 physically and electrically but likely will not work without a software update.... especially the boot files.

https://www.coolcomponents.co.uk/pitft- ... ry-pi.html will work
the banggood ones will work but you will need to faff around to get them to work - I think they use the Notro's FB stuff

Thanks for your reply guys!
Judging your reply's and me being a newbie to Raspberry Pi and programming....I think I'll wait a few month untill a 3,5" touchscreen has been made specific for the Pi 2.
Don't want to buy something that I can't get working.
