Raspberry Pi weight official figures

Tue Feb 17, 2015 11:25 pm

Hello there,

I'm writing a review about the Raspberry Pi for my Polytechnic peer-reviewed journal and I'm struggling looking for the "official" weight figures for the Model A, A+, B and B+ models, but this information is not available where I supposed must be (http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio ... s/specs.md)

Thanks in advance.

Note there is no official weight...but those numbers are probably good enough!

The linked post does not have a value for the A+ board, so clearly I am called to action. According to my just-calibrated Ohaus Scout II,

Code: Select all

 2.63 g camera board alone
 3.46 g camera board + 15 cm flex cable
22.93 g RPi A+
41.95 g RPi B+
42.18 g RPi 2
40.72 g "Quick Start Guide" booklet in box with RPi2 from element14
Values above are just the boards, without the memory card. Add 0.25 g for the uSD memory card.

I could not detect the weight of the blue protective film that comes on the lens of the camera, so apparently that is less than 10 mg.

Hello again:

Finally I got reviewed and published my paper about the RasPi, I wish to publicly acknowledge your help :D

The first part was published in the peer-reviewed magazine "Ethos Venezolana" , Vol. 7, Nº 1 (January - June 2015), the document is only available in Spanish language (sorry guys) at this place: https://dl.orangedox.com/iHrQmiaDJJ7w4R ... _7_No1.pdf.

For extension reasons, the article was divided in two parts, at this point, the second part has been already peer-reviewed and awaiting for press.

Thanks again for your help.
