Ertm permission denied

Sat Jul 24, 2021 5:48 pm

I am trying to connect an Xbox one controller. I have followed all the guides, and I’m at the point where it connects but then disconnects immediately.
I tried running the following command:
sudo bash -c 'echo 1 > /sys/module/bluetooth/parameters/disable_ertm'

But I get a permission denied error. I am assuming that is why adding this line to the auto start does not seem to have a positive affect.
Does anyone know why I am getting the permission denied error?

because bluetooth is a module, you can also just set those options with modprobe.conf instead

an example from my system:

Code: Select all

[clever@amd-nixos:~]$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/debian.conf
# These are the standard aliases and dependencies.
# This file does not need to be modified.

# prevent unusual drivers from appearing as the first sound device ###########
options snd-pcsp index=-2
options snd-usb-audio index=-2
so you probably want a file at /etc/modprobe.d/bluetooth.conf, with

Code: Select all

options bluetooth disable_ertm=1

That worked to keep that option at Y.
Still can't get my XBox One controller working though.

Thanks for the help! Much appreciated.
