Pi Zero / ZeroCam / PIR case?

Sat May 08, 2021 5:00 pm

Before I spend lots of time and effort coming up with something crude and horrible-looking from a spare bit of paxolin and a takeaway curry box, is anyone aware of a case which can take

  • a Pi Zero
  • a ZeroCam
  • a PIR detector
and, preferably, which will survive if accidentally left outdoors during a light shower?

Also, what size bolts/nuts/spacers/washers do I need for various breakout cards, eg the PIR sensor? (I've got some nuts and bots which fit the holes in the Pi itself.)

Thanks.

Maybe this (or similar) is still available: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/nature ... e-cam-kit/
IIRC, it was last year.

Still running Raspbian Jessie or Stretch on some older Pi's (an A, B1, 2xB2, B+, P2B, 3xP0, P0W, 2xP3A+, P3B+, P3B, B+, and a A+) but Buster on the P4B's & P400. See: https://www.cpmspectrepi.uk/raspberry_pi/raspiidx.htm

Sold out at https://shop.naturebytes.org/product/wildlife-cam-case/

I see someone has put a Pi camera and a battery (not PIR though) in a waterproof Canon WP-DC20 Waterproof Case - ebay?

Yes, I'd seen that one (the naturebytes one), but failed to find any way to actually buy one.

There's this fox which regularly walks through our garden but never stands still for long enough for us to go and find a camera.
