Using Bluetooth Microphone and 3.5 Speaker

Wed Jun 12, 2019 8:31 pm

I'm trying to setup my audio to receive input from a bluetooth speaker and play output throught the raspberry pi 3.5 jack. I setup my .asoundrc as such:

pcm.!default {
type asym
capture.pcm "mic"
playback.pcm "speaker"
}
pcm.speaker {
type plug slave { pcm "hw:0,0" }
}
pcm.mic {
type plug
slave.pcm {
type bluealsa device "FC:58:FA:0C:74:0C"
profile "sco"
}
}

ctl.!default {
type bluealsa
}

I can play wav files through the speaker but cannot get arecord to record anything:

arecord -f S16_LE capture.wav
Recording WAVE 'capture.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono

capure.wav is empty

May be your post formatting, but I believe 'device "FC:58:FA:0C:74:0C"' should be on its own line.

I've never used BlueALSA and SCO, so I probably won't be of much help. What kind of microphone? Did you get it paired and trusted sucessfully?
