Magento would kill a Raspberry. It would be unusable. For any e-store, use a proper machine, not an educational platform.

I am using a website developed in magento as my backend, Now I transferred it to a Pi-based server which was configured by me. It is working very smoothly. I am also using magento referral program and I have to say, its the best combination.
