While clock speed isn't a true indicator of speed barring some kind of breakthrough in IPC these things have to be slow.
Edit: no FPU. About 400 bogomips at 400 MHz (stock is 300 MHz)
Go back to MS-DOS 6.22, and single task web browsing
And what is wrong with FreeDOS 1.1 + Dillo 3.0 for web browsing on a 25Mb/s connection over a 1Gb/s ethernet conection? I do this often on my AMD 486DX4 133MHz with 128MB of 60ns RAM in 72-pin DIMMS.
No problem as long as long as your HDD is smaller than 32 Terabytes and you do not mind being limited to a maximum of 4GB for a single file. Also it helps if you do not mind it being very quick (no more making tea while waiting for Office or FireFox to load
). And if you do not mind viewing videos off line there is a pluggin for the Arachne web browser to download youtube videos that is actualy kept up to date with the changes in youtube.
Ok I also use FreeDOS 1.1 + Dillo 3.0 + DJPP + FreePascal + CC386 + ARMCC on my 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo as Windows is not fast enough, and Linux is not as good as it used to be (though I also use Puppy Linux on both my Intel Core2Duo, and my RPi).
