Re: Hack a day
You'd be surprised at just how much rude email we get from people telling us that we're vapourware. I'd love to see them send apologies once we ship, but I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Hack a day
Liz, if you really want to wind up the hackaday crowd, hint at some big tie in deal with arduino and watch the fur fly. You haven't seen anything until the arduino haters are out in full force.
Re: Hack a day
Arduino haters?! I never imagined such things existed. People hating something like arduino should find a hobby to occupy their time! Ardunios changed my world, before linux changed my world, before dreamplugs changed my world... I hope beagle or r.pi's will change my world again. I like world changing.

I have to admit, with those 16 GPIOs I'm hoping to use the r-pi kinda like an Arduino on steroids of for some things

Dear forum: Play nice

Why do you think I'm itching to get my hands on one of these things?

**shrug** Haters gonna hate... I might have been critical of a $25 computer until I read the specs and saw the alpha myself, especially when the the nearest thing I can find with the same design is more expensive than a netbook...
Re: Hack a day
Doesn't the Ra-P give you the same feeling like the days of the C64/Z80/MSX's? It does for me.....

I wasn't around back then, but I've been reading a lot about the early days of computing. I especially liked iWoz.
There's definitely something about raspberry pi which brings it back to where it began.
