My friend J is coming to the end of a MSc in digital forensics. She's just asked me if I could fill in a survey on phishing so she can capture a dataset to write about - I was wondering if you guys would like to help out.

The survey is at http://www.smart-survey.co.uk/v.asp?i=49296baifl - and it doesn't take as long as she suggests on the first page!

I don't suppose that the survey is itself a white hat phishing to gather statistics on OS/Browser security combinations?

(That's a joke!  Please don't take that seriously peps!)

I'm sorry to say that DID cross my mind......

@Shpaget:  Highlight the URL, right click and select your desired option to open the link.  Ok, its not as fast as clicking on a link, but its quicker than cut'n'pasting it into a new window.

Now I have this mental image of people circling the link, prodding it with long sticks, thinking "is it safe?".

Hmm,

Anyone for Social engineering?

The question for those who are paranoid is whose e-mail address did I use at the end?

Well, I highlight, right click and click Go to Web Address.

It was not meant to be "Oh my, how on Earth do I follow this words that appear to be a link, yet fail to show me something new when I click it?"

It was meant to suggest that perhaps more people would follow the link it was an actual working link and not just url.

I bet she'd get ten times the number of surveys done if instead of £25, she offered a free RaspPi

Middle button > copy  or ctrl+C should work

The ctrl+T is to get you a new tab, so it'll depend on your browser

middle button > paste should also be replicated by ctrl+V
